Expedia offer a nationwide tour of Britain in this wildly clever interactive campaign, taking in London, Manchester and Cornwall, the valleys of Wales and the Highlands of Scotland. Edited by Sam Jones and Steve Gandolfi, the spot gives us a savvy guide for each location, emphasising the unique merits of their region’s culture, history, sport, fashion, nightlife and more. With a unifying script, structure and aesthetic, the viewer can use the directional keys to jump from location to location seamlessly. For editors Jones and Gandolfi, the project involved editing on location over two weeks in the UK. On hillsides, piers, in fields, streets, pubs, clubs, high up the Olympic sculpture, way underground in caves; wherever the shots were filmed, they were just out of sight making sure it worked in the edit.
