Run The Jewels’ Killer Mike and El-P mix psychedelics with politics in the video for “Legend Has It.” With an acid-induced meander through a police lineup, their aim is clearly set on corruption and mass incarceration. However, as routine dictates for the Hip-Hop duo, any and all political statements are heavily shaded with several degrees of bitter sarcasm and out-there humour: a pairing perfectly captured in the video’s cold, fever-dream aesthetic.
