Biography

Jay is an award-winning editor whose credits include Super Bowl 2014’s chart-topping spots for Turbo Tax, Radio Shack and SodaStream, and Grey Poupon’s “The Chase” which was honored for Best Editing at the 2013 AICP Show, nominated for an Emmy, and was one of Shoot’s Best Work of 2013. Other project highlights include XBOX “Invitation,” Skechers “Mr. Quiggly (Super Bowl 2012), and Hyundai (Super Bowl 2011/AICE Award Winner). Nelson co-wrote and co-edited the critically acclaimed feature documentary Wild In The Streets, which premiered at Slamdance and has gone on to critical success and aired nationally in 2013. He also edited the documentary film Holy Wars for director Stephen Marshall of Smuggler Films that premiered at IDA Docuweeks Showcase and was praised by Variety, Indie Wire and Bloomberg News among others.
